We will be presenting our results on predicting neoplastic progression in patients with Barrett's Esophagus. This was joint work with Dr. Yang Liu in the Dept. of Medicine at Pitt, and with Dr. Prashanthi Thota and Dr. Xuefeng Zhang  at Cleveland Clinic.

We will also be presenting our initial results on profiling immune microenvironment of patients with Lynch Syndrome. This was joint work with Dr. Rhonda M. Brand and Dr. Randall E Brand in the Dept. of Medicine at Pitt.

We utilized the ability of nanoscale nuclear architecture mapping (nanoNAM) to detect with nanoscale sensitivity, structural alterations in the chromatin of epithelial cell nuclei at risk for malignant transformation, to identify patients with Barrett’s esophagus (BE) who progress to high grade dysplasia (HGD) or esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC).

We present our preliminary results on a new unsupervised  method we are developing for segmenting complex tissue samples in highly multiplexed immunofluorescence images.

United States Patent 11,105,686 on spatial-domain low-coherence quantitative phase microscopy was granted to us. I am one of the co-inventors.

We were awarded the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Biomedical Modeling Pilot award for studying intra-tumor heterogeneity of colorectal cancer tumor microenvironment.
